In 1981, the Maria Orsini brand was born, representing the art of fine dining. It was a 350 square meter space that housed a gastronomic store inspired by the most prestigious European gourmet shops, offering wines, liquors, and gourmet specialties of excellent quality, and whenever possible, with its own brand. Its objective was to serve a demanding clientele with a high sociocultural level.
To this end, the boutique, located in the Galerías Shopping Center, had, in addition to the store, an auditorium for cooking classes and conferences, as well as a tasting room for the promotion and study of gastronomy. All of this was coordinated and promoted by Mrs. Maria Orsini, who abandoned her diplomacy career to dedicate herself to the international study of table arts. This passion led her to especially investigate Mexican gastronomy, traveling to the most remote corners of our rich country.
As an important part of this project, the magazine Maria Orsini, el arte del buen comer (the art of fine dining), emerged; a publication of great prestige due to its team of collaborators, who were recognized figures in each of their fields. It is worth mentioning among them Lula Bertrán, Paco Ignacio Taibo I, Luís Marcet, Enrique Castillo Pesado, Martha Chapa, Jose Iturriaga de la Fuente, Guadalupe Pérez San Vicente, Ana María Vázquez Colmenares, Alicia G. de’Angeli, Patricia Quintana, Sonia Corcuera de Mancera, Víctor Nava, Maricú Ortiz, among others.
For more than two decades, Maria Orsini dedicated herself to marketing, mainly through our catalogs, high-quality products and gifts such as wines, liquors, gourmet products, accessories, Christmas hampers, flowers, cakes, chocolates, etc.
This constant work of image dissemination has led us today to be considered the leading company specializing in high-quality gifts in our field in Mexico City, with a perceived value above other stores.
